Shiny Aerodactyl

My guess for this week's Ditto-Me-This is Shiny Aerodactyl!

has started a game called Ditto-Me-This, where members have one week to figure out a riddle hinting to a certain Pokemon or evolution line. Participating members must draw the shiny version of that Pokemon and submit it to the Ditto-Me-This folder. :3

This week's riddle was "I was feared as the strongest of hunters, who am I?"

At first, I had no idea what in the world this could be. After all, so many Pokemon can be considered hunters. However, upon closer inspection, I realized that the riddle said "was" as opposed to "am." That led me to believe that this Pokemon does not exist today. Therefore, that narrowed my focus down to just extinct Pokemon. Out of all the fossilized Pokemon, only Aerodactyl, Archen, and Archeops were predators. In the Pokemon anime, there are many references to Aerodactyl terrorizing people and Pokemon, so Aerodactyl was my best bet.

I was very pleased with how this turned out. It took me forever to get the colors in the sky to blend. The stone ledge was also tricky, but I think I got it. XD

Wish me luck. :3 I hope that Aerodactyl is the correct answer.

EDIT: So I was completely off. XD The answer was Genesect. Who knew? Certainly not me. I guess I'll have to try again another week.
